Health Minister Memişoğlu: Important immunotherapy drugs were included in the Social Security Institution reimbursement list

In his post on his social media account, Memişoğlu reminded that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared important good news for cancer patients in his statement following the cabinet meeting.

Minister Memişoğlu noted the following:

"Important immunotherapy drugs have been added to the Social Security Institution reimbursement list. This vital decision will bring hope to our patients whose treatment processes are ongoing. May it be beneficial to everyone, especially our citizens receiving cancer treatment. I wholeheartedly thank our Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan and our Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek for their strong cooperation and sensitivity during this process."

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan shared a post on his social media account regarding the inclusion of 5 smart drugs used in the treatment of 25 different cancer diseases within the scope of SGK reimbursement, which was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after the Cabinet Meeting.

Işıkhan stated that they will provide significant support to citizens fighting cancer with this good news announced by President Erdoğan, and noted the following:

"We are including 5 immunotherapy drugs, which are applied against 25 different cancer subtypes together with the body's own immune system, in the reimbursement scope of our Social Security Institution. With the arrangement to be made, 48 thousand cancer patients will benefit from these treatments. With the arrangement, the number of cancer drugs on the reimbursement list will increase to 784. We will continue to be with our citizens fighting cancer in their struggle. I hope that the drugs will be a cure for our patients."
