Woman dies on first night of Tomorrowland festival

A 35-year-old Canadian woman died on Friday night while attending the opening of the Tomorrowland electronic music festival in Belgium, local media reported.
The victim died after falling during the festival, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Antwerp, the city where the event is taking place, reported.
The Belgian press reported that an investigation had been opened into the circumstances of his death and that an autopsy was being carried out to determine whether he had consumed drugs.
Emergency teams attempted to revive her at the scene, but the victim died after being taken to a hospital in critical condition, media outlets reported, citing the EFE news agency.
Every year, Tomorrowland welcomes more than 400,000 people, from more than 200 different nationalities, in just two weekends.
On Wednesday, two days before the festival opened, a fire destroyed the main stage.
After the incident, the organizers decided to keep access to the entire venue open and set up a new stage in less than 24 hours.
The Antwerp Public Prosecutor's Office asked the examining magistrate to investigate the fire to determine its exact cause.
Furthermore, the Antwerp Public Prosecutor's Office also announced this week that the National Institute of Crime and Criminology (NCIC) would install, for the second consecutive year, a mobile drug testing laboratory at the Tomorrowland site, due to the increasing dissemination of new psychoactive substances and cocktails of different drugs in recent years.
