Invitation to experts to evaluate Advanced Computing Projects

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through its digital services unit FCCN, invites national and international experts to collaborate as evaluators and/or specialists in national initiatives for access to computing resources. The first phase for expressions of interest is open until October 15, 2025.
This expression of interest aims to strengthen the database of qualified, multidisciplinary evaluators with experience in scientific evaluation for the Advanced Computing Project Competitions (CPCA), ensuring a rigorous, transparent, and impartial process. Additionally, experts are also sought for other FCT initiatives, such as AI Factories, which will require specialized user support.
The collaboration of selected experts will be punctual, upon invitation, and will include adequate compensation for their time and technical contribution.
This call is open to experts in all scientific and computational fields, including: High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computational Modeling and Simulation, Scientific Data Analysis and Management, Data Visualization and Interaction, and Computational Applications in Science, Engineering, or Digital Humanities. Prior experience on scientific or technological review panels is highly valued.
All interested parties must complete the online form , which is now available. More information about advanced computing projects is also available on the FCT website.
