How Brazilians reacted online to the operation against Bolsonaro, according to Quaest

A survey by Quaest released this Saturday 19th indicates that the Federal Police operation against former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), carried out on the morning of Friday 18th, provoked 59% positive mentions on social media, compared to 41% critical reactions.
The institute monitored posts between midnight and 5 pm and identified 1.3 million citations to the PF action, authorized by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes .
According to Quaest, 32% of mentions in right-wing groups criticize the Supreme Federal Court and 11% talk about dictatorship or censorship.
“The scenario reveals a highly reactive digital environment , in which judicial decisions quickly become fuel for disputes and mobilization of the bases”, contextualizes the institute.
Furthermore, Google searches for Bolsonaro's name increased fivefold during the monitored period, compared to the June average. Searches for the term "ankle bracelet" also increased.
Quaest carried out the survey based on the “Social Listening” method: it collected mentions on the X, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr and YouTube networks.
