CD Projekt reported lower profit and higher revenue from game sales in the first half of the year

In the first half of this year, the CD Projekt Group recorded just under PLN 155 million in consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company, compared to PLN 170 million a year earlier . Operating profit amounted to PLN 168 million, compared to PLN 140.2 million a year earlier. Consolidated sales revenue reached PLN 443 million, compared to PLN 424 million a year earlier.

As stated in the report, the greatest impact on the results of the CD Projekt capital group in the first half of 2025 had the high sales of the game "Cyberpunk 2077" together with the "Phantom of Freedom" expansion and the premiere sales of the version of the game for the Nintendo Switch 2 console, as well as the sales of the game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", which are invariably important for the group's results .
Within game production, the most significant development expenditures realized during the reporting period were for the "The Witcher 4," "Cyberpunk 2," and "Syriusz" projects, which are currently in development. The largest research costs were incurred for the "Hadar" project.
Almost a quarter of a billion zlotys for development worksAs the company's financial director, Piotr Nielubowicz, points out, the CD Projekt group's expenditure on development work related to new productions in the first half of the year exceeded PLN 240 million.
As a reminder, CD Projekt is currently working on four projects simultaneously: "The Witcher 4," "Cyberpunk 2," "Siriusz," and "Hadar."
CD Projekt announced that the "Hadar" project is still a concept IP and is intended to be the studio's third IP, alongside "The Witcher" and "Cyberpunk 2077." "Hadar" is currently in the early stages of development, and the studio is not yet developing a game set in this universe.
At the end of June 2025, the group employed a total of 1,248 employees, including 802 developers.
The CD Projekt Group is valued at approximately PLN 25.5 billion.
