Marius, the son of a previous marriage to Princess Matte-Marit, could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison , given the accusations he has faced.
In addition to the four violations, Marius Borg Hoiby is accused of mistreatment in intimate relationships, acts of violence, violation of freedom and filming and recording videos without consent.
The four violations Hoiby is accused of occurred in 2018, 2023 and 2024, with the last one being committed after the police investigation began.
The princess's eldest son, 28, is specifically suspected of "one rape with penetration" and "two rapes without penetration," police said.
According to Norwegian law, the concept of rape also covers sexual acts without penetration, committed when the victim is unable to resist.
