Justus speaks out after posts suggesting death in photo with daughter: 'I will not accept threats'

Roberto Justus and Ana Paula Siebert spoke out after insults made to the couple's daughter, Vicky, 5 years old, gained repercussion in posts made on the social network X (formerly Twitter) this Sunday, 6th.

On Friday the 4th, the couple posted a photo of themselves together with their daughter on Instagram. In the photo, the girl is holding a purse, apparently a designer one. A Twitter profile shared the images , indicating that the item had cost R$14,000 . Other profiles began commenting on the post.

Justus and Siebert did not say exactly which posts they were referring to. But among the prints that circulated and caused the most repercussion was one of a man who identified himself as a teacher, who insinuated: "Only guillotine...". Another user wrote: "You really have to mtr [sic]!", a likely reference to the word "kill".

Vicky's parents explained that they do not usually expose themselves in situations like this, but decided to do so due to the seriousness of the statements. "What happened yesterday? A professor from a federal university, then a psychologist, and other people, condemning a photo that we published of our family."

"She showed up with a little bag, which we didn't even buy, it was a gift. But, even if we had bought it, it's not up to anyone to judge."

"It went beyond common sense. It's such a crazy, crazy thing... They said we had to kill our daughter with a guillotine. Murder our family. People, what is this that is happening in Brazil?!", he said in outrage.

Ana Paula Siebert continued: "Instigating death, instigating hatred, is unacceptable. That's why we are speaking out. If we start to say that the internet is no man's land and everyone can say whatever they want, that's not how it is."

"This time we are going after our rights, to set an example. I have already contacted the entire legal team. I will not accept threats to our family, as a father and mother," said Justus.

"I feel very sorry for these people, who have such bitterness in their hearts, such great evil for being unhappy, for wanting to harm other people for a futile and ridiculous reason like this. We are going to take action," concluded the presenter.

Vicky Justus was born on May 18, 2020, the result of the marriage between Roberto and Ana Paula Siebert. Justus is also the father of four other children from his previous relationships: Rafaella, 15, Luiza, 32, Fabiana, 38, and Ricardo, 41.
