Diego Hypólito reveals that he lost 10 million in a few months

Diego Hypólito reveals that he lost 10 million in a few months

Diego Hypolito revealed that he had faced a serious financial crisis in recent years, a fact that motivated him to accept the invitation to the reality show BBB 25. The former gymnast reported that, after accumulating considerable wealth throughout his sports career, he lost more than R$10 million in just a few months.

According to him, the situation worsened due to a combination of mismanagement of resources and trust in people who harmed him. "We lost everything because I went bankrupt. I had money for the rest of my life, gymnastics gave me money, but I don't know how I managed to lose everything," Diego said during the Selfie Service podcast.

The former athlete also revealed that, due to financial losses, his family was evicted. The most striking episode, according to him, was his mother's suffering when she lost the house where they lived. "My mother almost died when we were evicted," he said.

The emotional impact of this moment led Diego to promise that he would rebuild what was lost. "I promised that I would rebuild everything that was hers. BBB was the chance I saw to turn things around," he added.

In fact, the decision to join the program was made together with her sister, Daniele Hypolito, also a former gymnast. During confinement, the two sought to regain the public's attention and, above all, open up new professional possibilities.

Diego has currently been working as a digital influencer and sports commentator. As he stated, these new fronts are part of his effort to rebuild his financial life. "BBB was a bet to give me exposure, for people to remember my titles [in sports] and get to know me," he explained.
