Dave Coulier and Melissa Bring celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, July 2. The actor and his wife celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, a special day that neither of them let go unnoticed.
"Of all the moments, I am infinitely grateful that the universe put us on the same path. Happy anniversary, my love," wrote Melissa Bring in the caption of a post she made on her Instagram page, where she remembers several images of the day they tied the knot in the state of Montana.
In the same post, Melissa added the acronym "LYMTA", which means "I love you more than air".
But he didn't stop there and thanked photographer Kacie Q "for having captured the wedding day so beautifully". "I love reliving every moment through your lens."
The post did not go unnoticed, as expected, and received several affectionate reactions in the comments box, including a message from fellow 'What a Family!' actress Candace Cameron Bure. "Happy birthday to the lovebirds," she said.
The Love Story of Dave Coulier and Melissa Bring
Dave Coulier and Melissa Bring met 20 years ago at a restaurant in Montana, where the actor's wife was born. In 2008, the couple posed together for the first time on the red carpet, which in this case was on the red carpet of Comedy Central's 'Roast of Bob Saget' in Los Angeles.
About a decade after they first met, Dave Coulier and Melissa Bring announced they were engaged. "Melissa has been my best friend for nine years. We want to make this a lifetime thing," the actor told People in June 2014, referring to the proposal.
The following month, the magazine also recalls, they tied the knot in the presence of family and friends, including actors from the cast of 'What a Family!'. The ceremony took place at the O'Hair Ranch Lodge, in Paradise Valley, Montana.
Later, after the wedding, the actor spoke to People again and revealed that the ceremony "lasted probably six minutes." "Everyone was like, 'This is the best wedding ceremony ever,'" he shared, adding that they decided to make personal vows instead of traditional ones. "We say our vows to each other every day," he said.
A special day that had the support of friends. "Bob Saget and John Stamos pulled me aside after the ceremony. We laughed, hugged and kissed like brothers do," he recalled, adding that it was a very emotional moment and that they could not contain their "genuine tears of joy."
The moment cancer 'haunted' the couple
The couple has recently been going through a challenging time due to Dave Coulier's health. The actor was diagnosed with cancer, more precisely stage three non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, in October last year.
Dave Coulier had the support of his family and friends during this phase. In fact, fellow actor John Stamos even posed next to his colleague wearing a cap to simulate being bald. This is because Dave had to shave his head due to treatments for the disease.
Less than six months after revealing the disease, at the end of March this year, a representative for Dave Coulier confirmed to People that the actor is cancer-free.
