Cher's son Elijah Blue Allman, 48, was rushed to hospital over the weekend.
According to TMZ, which cites close sources, Elijah suffered an overdose on Saturday morning and is still hospitalized.
Cher is supporting her son through this difficult time, worrying exclusively about his well-being and doing everything she can to get Elijah the help he needs, sources said.
According to People, authorities were "called to a residence in Landers where a male individual was behaving 'strangely.'" When they arrived on the scene, they report, Cher's son was being "evaluated by emergency medical personnel."
"Officers found drugs inside the home and Elijah was transported to the hospital," they added, noting that an investigation is ongoing.
Elijah Blue Allman - son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman - has previously spoken about his struggles with substance abuse, confessing in a 2014 interview that he started using drugs at just 11 years old.
In 2023, Cher filed for conservatorship to control access to the money, claiming that her son was "unable to manage his own financial resources due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues," TMZ also recalls.
