After 11 years together, Record presenter's fiancée loses her life in an accident

Marcus Marinho, host of "RJ no Ar" on Record TV, experienced a moment of profound sadness this Wednesday (August 6), following the death of his fiancée, Luana de Paula, in a traffic accident in Rio de Janeiro. The couple had been together for 11 years and were preparing to formalize their union in October. The ceremony had already been scheduled, and according to the journalist, all that remained was to send out the invitations.
The accident occurred in Barra da Tijuca, in the city's West Zone. Luana was a passenger in a motorcycle ride on Embaixador Abelardo Bueno Avenue when the collision occurred. She was rescued and hospitalized for two days, but succumbed to her injuries.
On social media, Marcus Marinho posted emotional reminisces about his journey with his fiancée. He emphasized that the couple planned to spend their honeymoon in Japan, a long-dreamed-of trip.
"The wedding was already scheduled for October. All that was left was to send out the invitations. The trip to Japan was being planned. It was our dream, but a reckless person in traffic took you away from me. For now, rest in the Father's lap," wrote the presenter.
In another message, the journalist recalled the moments they shared. "Hi, Mo. The last 11 years have been incredible with you. We fell, got up, cried... Laughed together... Overcame so much... And it's your smile and the good times that I will cherish. One day, we'll meet again. Definitely. Thank you for everything. It was wonderful! I love you. And I'm with you!" he posted.
The news caused great commotion among colleagues and fans who follow Marinho's work. Journalist Paloma Poeta, a colleague at the station, sent a message of support: "Oh my God! I'm so sorry, Marinho! May God comfort your heart and give you strength. A big hug."
Luana de Paula, who often appeared alongside her fiancé in posts and at events, was a well-known figure in the presenter's inner circle. Their long-term relationship and impending wedding intensified the impact of the loss.
According to reports, the accident was caused by reckless driving, a factor Marinho emphasized in his public message. The incident reignites discussions about safety in ride-hailing services, especially in large urban centers like Rio de Janeiro.
Luana's burial was held privately, with family and close friends. The presenter remains away from his work at Record to cope with his grief.
