Country singer Murilo Huff broke his silence on Monday night (23) and spoke out, for the first time, about the controversial legal process in which he is requesting unilateral custody of his son with Marília Mendonça , little Leo , 5 years old. The outburst was made through Instagram stories , where Murilo expressed his frustration at the public judgments and assured that his motivation is the well-being of his son.

The case, which came to light this week, caused a great repercussion on social media. Since the singer's untimely death in November 2021, Leo has lived with his maternal grandmother, Dona Ruth Moreira , in Goiânia (GO). Custody of the child is currently shared between Murilo and his grandmother.

Faced with the strong repercussion, Murilo decided to take a stand. The 29-year-old singer used capital letters in his statement to emphasize that he does not want to separate his son from his maternal family. "I DO NOT INTENTION, I NEVER WANTED AND I DO NOT WANT to separate him from his maternal family," he wrote.

The country singer, however, made it clear that he made the judicial decision based on serious issues, which he cannot yet give details about. "It is very sad to see people creating stories without knowing the truth. I would never ask for sole custody without reason. Unfortunately, I cannot reveal all the evidence and facts that I have, as they are under judicial secrecy. But the truth will prevail!" he stated.
