Mikaela Lupu spoke to Notícias ao Minuto at the pre-opening of Wells Garrett, 'Home of Beauty' , in Lisbon, and began by sharing that she "doesn't have a big beauty routine", since she has a one-and-a-half-year-old baby at home. "But I try to at least cleanse and moisturize."

With the arrival of summer, the actress also said that the best moments of relaxation at this time of year are "the countryside, rural tourism, listening to the crickets at night".

Mother of little Duarte, who was born on January 18, 2024, Mikaela Lupu discussed motherhood , highlighting that it has been "challenging, but very rewarding too" .

"I'm still at home with my baby, I'm slowly getting back to work. So it's 24 hours, no breaks, no holidays, no weekends. It's very demanding, but I'm enjoying it," she added.

Still talking about little Duarte, he says, "he is starting to say his first words, in the phase of discovering the world" .

"He wants to shake everything up, blow everything up, throw everything at my head... There are days when it's hard, you have to take a deep breath, often. But it's also great to be able to see him learn. One day, they can't climb a step, the next day, they can. It's a great victory and it's great to be able to see it up close. I know I'm very privileged to still be able to be at home with my baby. I'm also enjoying it, because I know it's a privilege ," she said.

Mikaela Lupu is separated from her son's father, Gonçalo Neves, and shared: "When both of us want to continue doing the best we can for our children, I think anything goes. We are both fine. We weren't in tune, and I feel that now we are more in tune with ourselves, individually. We will always be Duarte's parents, so we will have a path ahead of us."

Regarding her return to work, the actress recalled that she recently recorded a series, 'The Architect', which will premiere in September on TVI. Returning to work, she says, "feels good". "It's going back to life, to what I did before. It's bittersweet, it's good and it's also a bit hard", she confessed, referring to the fact that she is starting to leave her son to go to work.

This series is inspired by the sex scandal involving architect Tomás Taveira, a "challenging, tough" project, as Mikaela Lupu shared. "It turns your stomach. The character goes through a complex situation there and it's tough. Being a woman, it's very tough. It was a great comeback, it was very intense. There were scenes that were hard to film. But that's part of it."

When it comes to acting opportunities, Mikaela Lupu doesn't hide her desire to play a villain. "I don't know, I must have a very angelic air. I played one in 'Forbidden Gardens', but I haven't done it for a few years. You're limited by what you have. There's not much you can do, just wait."
