Preventative measure for attacking Porto fans

The three Sporting fans who were named as suspects for having attacked a car in which FC Porto supporters were travelling in Lisbon on Tuesday were remanded in custody, SIC reported and Observador confirmed.
“The three were subject to preventive detention, with the possibility of replacement by house arrest, if the required legal requirements are met”, said an official source from the Lisbon District Court, adding that the process is under judicial secrecy.
Speaking to journalists, the defense attorney explained that the judge justified the decision with “social alarm” and the “danger of disturbing the investigation.”
