Popular Festivals mark the month of July throughout the municipality of Albufeira

The Arraial das Associações, to take place on Saturday, July 5th, from 7 pm, at Largo João Campos, in Paderne, organized by the Parish Council of Paderne with local associations, marks the start of the Popular Festivities in the municipality of Albufeira.

The Marchas Populares de Paderne will once again add colour to the event and Bonga is the headliner, who will share the stage with the duo All in One and Carlos Coelho.

Along with good local cuisine and crafts, the entertainment will continue into the night, with DJ Arestas and DJ Nuno Silva Rua 80.

Also on the same Saturday, starting at 7:00 pm, the Closing Party of the 2024/2025 Sports Season of Imortal DC is scheduled to take place at the Parque do Estádio Municipal de Albufeira Fernando Barata.

The party will feature performances by musicians Nuno Balbino and Bruno & Carla and there will be food and drink stalls and grilled food, with free entry.

The following weekend, animation is back in the spotlight.

From 11 to 12 July the Albufeira and Olhos de Água Summer Festivities will take place, organised by the Albufeira and Olhos de Água Parish Council , with the Olhos de Água Sports and Recreation Group.

The parties will take place at the aforementioned Group's facilities, from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am and will feature live music and taverns.

On the 12th and 13th, the 28th anniversary of the Parish of Ferreiras is celebrated, a territory of 2,227 hectares, established on July 12, 1997, through Decree-Law No. 40/97, resulting from the detachment of places from the parishes of Albufeira, Guia and Paderne.

The date is celebrated annually by the Parish Council of Ferreiras in collaboration with traders, producers and local associations, between 7 pm and 2 am, with lots of entertainment, through concerts and gastronomic gatherings.

This Saturday there will be a tribute to the legendary band Queen, entitled «Kind of Magic», followed by performances by Filipe Romão with his accordion, Ballroom Dancing by FC Ferreiras and also a Night Mountain Bike Ride, by CBTT in Albufeira.

On Sunday, a tribute will be paid to Ivete Sangalo, entitled «Sai do Chão», followed by performances by Vânia Silva, the Oriental Dances of FC Ferreiras and, of course, there will be a birthday cake and fireworks.

In the Parish of Guia, the 36th Chicken Festival will take place on the 30th and 31st of July and from the 1st to the 3rd of August, at the Guia Sports Centre, between 7pm and 2am, organised by Guia FC and the Parish Council.

It is already a national and international meeting point at this time of year for lovers of the famous “franguinho”, who, along with the delicacy, enjoy some good times of entertainment.

The festival is organized by Guia Futebol Clube, with the support of the municipality of Albufeira, Guia Parish Council and local businesses.
