Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti's producer dies at 75

Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti's producer dies at 75

Celso Valli, composer, arranger and producer of great names in Italian pop music, such as Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, Gianni Morandi and Vasco Rossi, died at the age of 75. The announcement of his death was made this Monday (28) by Ramazzotti on his social media.

"Celso, I will miss you, master," the artist wrote, adding that "another giant leaves us."

Pausini revealed that "the departure of Valli", who accompanied her with his "talent as a musician and producer for many years", marked a good part of her work.

"Many of my songs were arranged by him. Some have become soundtracks to their lives and mine," the singer said, adding that Valli's death leaves "his friends and collaborators deeply saddened."

Rossi also used social media to dedicate a message to the producer and "faithful friend".

"Long live Celso Valli, with his elegance, his refined manner, even though he is sanguine. An absolute genius," were the words of the singer of "Albachiara".

Born in Bologna in 1950, after graduating in piano, Valli began his career as a keyboardist and vocalist in a jazz band. From the 1980s onward, he collaborated with artists such as Mina, Gianni Morandi, Raf, Matia Bazar, Claudio Baglioni, Vasco Rossi, Eros Ramazzotti, Laura Pausini, Giorgia, Andrea Bocelli, Il Volo, Renato Zero, and Jovanotti.

He also participated in several editions of the Sanremo Festival, the last one in 2023, alongside singers Ultimo and Eros Ramazzotti.
