Italy Brazil Association to launch book 'The Perfume of Hope'

The Italy-Brazil Friendship Association and the Guimarães Rosa Institute will present on July 3rd in Rome the book "Il Profumo della Speranza" ("The Perfume of Hope"), by Paolo La Francesca, an autobiographical account of the journey of adoption and the search for one's own roots.

The book tells the story of Paolo, adopted by a Sicilian family shortly after his birth in Brazil. An intimate and courageous journey through obstacles, identity and hope, which culminates in the reunion with his biological mother and siblings. A touching story, especially for those who are facing or have already experienced adoption.

Among the participants expected during the launch, moderated by Alessandro Cecchi Paone, will be the Brazilian ambassador to Italy, Renato Mosca, who will open the event, and the president of the Italy-Brazil Friendship Association, deputy Fabio Porta.
