This unique 007 racer could go to Le Mans, but it will go shopping with you in Saint-Tropez

Imagine heading out for a weekend trip out of town... behind the wheel of a Le Mans racing car. The Glickenhaus 007 is a road-legal hypercar inspired by the legend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Three seats, 1,000 horsepower and the soul of a racing monster. This is not fantasy - it's the most expensive adult toy with petrol in its blood and an unlimited account.
The most important race in the world – Le Mans 24h – is fast approaching. In mid-June, the cream of the crop will compete for victory at the Circuit de la Sarthe . Emotions, money and prestige. Every enthusiast dreams of sitting behind the wheel of a racing car and speeding down the Mulsane straight at breakneck speed.
Today, the top class LMDh is dominated by factory teams of very recognizable brands: Ferrari, Porsche, BMW and Cadillac. Not so long ago, in 2023, Glickenhaus also started in the entire series of endurance races. This team, independent of the "big players", belongs to Jim Glickenhaus, a film producer and car collector, who founded Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus in 2004.
Unfortunately, despite good results, the owner announced that starts were too expensive and did not enter the WEC series in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

To wipe away the tears, there is the possibility of buying a car that is very closely related to the one Glickenhaus started in the 2023 season - the 007 model. The car has homologation and can be driven on public roads. It also has a whole range of extras, thanks to which you can travel in relatively civilized conditions. To improve comfort, the ground clearance has been increased, efficient air conditioning has been installed and hydraulic door opening assistance has been installed.
“This isn’t just a road-legal replica, but a new understanding of what a hypercar should be,” the company said in a statement. “While most ‘extreme’ race cars struggle to adapt to public roads, the 007 has been engineered with aerodynamic perfection and thousands of test laps on the world’s most demanding racetracks — yet it glides effortlessly through city traffic and summer heat.”

However, there is nothing stopping you from taking it to the track, hooking up the compressor to the built-in lifts, swapping the road tires for racing slicks, tuning the suspension, changing the aerodynamics, engine mapping and you're done!
Glickenhaus 007 - three-seater with a V8 engineSpeaking of the engine, under the rear cover we find a 6.2-liter V8 engine with around 1,000 horsepower. The drive is transferred to the rear wheels via an automated manual transmission.

The roar of the engine can be bragged about to two passengers. Yes, this is a three-seater, like the legendary McLaren F1 , where the driver occupies the central position, and the guests sit by the doors, slightly behind.

With all the racing features, a lap around the track should be very exciting. Jim Glickenhaus says the aerodynamics and suspension allow you to drive at the limits of the grip of sports tires.

Once you get tired of driving in circles, it shouldn't take more than five minutes to restore the comfortable settings and your return home to the south of France will be as peaceful and quiet as sailing with the wind on the blue waters of the Cote d'Azur.
