We are talking about a castle that is associated with Janosik. It is the title character of the cult series from 1973 and the later film, where the main role was played by Marek Perepeczko. The castle in Niedzica is called "Dunajec" and is under the care of the Association of Art Historians Museum - Niedzica Castle Complex. It is a building with a rich history, the construction of which began between 1308 and 1313. Once a stronghold, it is currently a popular tourist attraction, enjoying great interest among both Poles and foreign tourists. On its premises we will find a museum and a stylish hotel. Filmmakers have used the castle in their works many times, which has a significant impact on the interest of visitors.

The castle is also beautiful and impressive. It consists of three parts: the Upper Castle, the Middle Castle and the Lower Castle, and its walls combine Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. In the museum section, we will see, among others, the so-called Salamon chambers, equipped with objects from the 16th to the 19th centuries, wooden stairs leading to the viewing terrace and historic dungeons. At the edge of the courtyard of the upper structure, there is a well carved in solid limestone rock with a depth of over 60 m. There are many more attractions.
