Aviation industry Oscars awarded. LOT has reasons to be happy

The best airline in Eastern Europe is now PLL LOT. The Polish carrier received this title at the Skytra World Airline Awards gala, which took place on June 17 in Paris. In doing so, the airline showed itself as a global leader alongside brands such as Turkish Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Qatar Airways, this year's winner of the global ranking. "LOT Polish Airlines has been consistently building its reputation in the region," said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

LOT is the best in our part of Europe

PLL LOT takes care of passenger comfort like no other airline in Eastern Europe. According to Skytrax, a global consulting company that conducts research on the quality of airlines from all over the world, it was the Polish carrier that deserved to be called the best in the region in this year's edition of the event. The distinction was awarded during a gala that took place on June 17, 2025 at the Air and Space Museum, during the Paris Air Show 2025.

The aviation "Oscar" is a confirmation that LOT is heading in the right direction with its strategy. The carrier recently announced the introduction of further amenities for its passengers in economy class, including the introduction of free drinks and alcohol to the card. "The distinction awarded motivates us to continue working on developing the offer, taking care of the passenger and constantly setting standards in the region and beyond," said Robert Ludera, Procurator, Director of the LOT Polish Airlines Network Office.

These lines were second to none

The Skytrax Awards were based on an online survey of passengers from nearly 100 nationalities conducted from September 2024 to May 2025, generating more than 22 million votes.

In 2025, Qatar Airways was named the best airline in the world, followed closely by Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific. Emirates only came in fourth, ahead of ANA All Nippon Airways from Japan.
