A real hit is brewing in Podlasie. This time, it's not about vouchers.

This concerns the construction of a water highway, announced by representatives of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. As mentioned, this is a project on an unprecedented scale. A tourist trail will be created, connecting as many as 16 municipalities in the area. Both locals and tourists will benefit – primarily those who enjoy kayaking and other similar sports.
Water highway in PodlasieDoes the word "highway" primarily evoke images of loud, fast, and paved roads? It turns out it can also have a more positive connotation, referring to rivers and vacation relaxation. This new experience in northeastern Poland aims to provide such a journey. This attraction will allow you to discover previously unknown corners of Podlasie and experience unforgettable adventures. All from the perspective of water.
It's meant to be green, peaceful, and beautiful. A dedicated trail will be located on the Pisa and Narew rivers. These rivers have long attracted people seeking peace, contact with nature, and the wilder regions of Poland. The project will include the creation of kayaking marinas with facilities, rest and camping areas, hiking and cycling paths connecting the river, as well as viewpoints and places worth stopping at.
Tourists have to waitWhile the project is interesting and ambitious, and its results are already impressive, it requires a lot of work. The water highway is scheduled for completion in the coming years. The main goal is to maximize the potential of the surrounding waters and land, and all of this requires several stages of work.
For now, it's known that tourists will follow the trail from Zbójna, through Nowogród, Suraż, Łapy, Tykocin, to Narewka and Wizna. Along the way, they'll see local landscapes, discover interesting traditions, and gain a wealth of experiences while being close to nature.
Importantly, this isn't the only tourism-related investment in the area. Currently, in Podlasie, projects such as a bus terminus in Ciasne are under construction. Furthermore, numerous municipal and district roads are being rebuilt and modernized, including those in Ostrów Nowy, Modzele-Górki, and Kramarzewo. This will make traveling around the area much easier and more comfortable.
It's also worth remembering that special campaigns are being organized to attract tourists to these areas. Recently, Poles were able to take advantage of tourist vouchers, which provided financial support ranging from 200 to 400 PLN when booking accommodation, depending on the type of accommodation. The program was so well-received that a third round is already planned. Are you planning to visit Podlasie anytime soon?
