What will we look like in 1,000 years? Scientists have created a simulation: a smaller brain, a thicker skull, a hunched body, a shorter neck and an extra eyelid to protect the eyes from screens. This is the result of environmental changes and a lifestyle dominated by technology.

Scientists at Toll Free Forwarding have studied how human evolution will proceed. The simulation is not optimistic, and Mindy, a woman from the year 3000, will be shaped by regular use of technology.

Researchers emphasize that in 1,000 years, the human figure will be completely different from the one we know. Mindy has a back arched - for more effective use of smartphones and computer screens. A thicker neck must support the head bent over the screen more strongly. The structure of the hand will also change - the thumb will resemble a claw (the so-called SMS claw ), and the elbow will be permanently bent at a 90-degree angle.

What's more, Mindy, the woman of the future, also has an extra eyelid to protect herself from excessive exposure to light emitted by computer and phone screens. However, this is also associated with other changes - according to simulations, in 1000 years, humans will have a thicker skull, thanks to which they will protect themselves from the harmful effects of radiation from phones/computers. In addition, our brains will be smaller.

Physiotherapists are already noticing similar changes. They result directly from the technology that users currently have at their disposal, as TVN24 reminds us. The projection of a person's appearance may change with technological progress.

- I don't think the brain has evolved, apart from this slow evolution possibly in the direction of perhaps a smaller brain or reduced intelligence - concluded Prof. Jan Kozłowski, evolutionary biologist at the Jagiellonian University, in an interview with TVN24.
