Tom Holland has been on a roll for years. He's managed to stay on top largely thanks to his portrayal of Spider-Man in subsequent installments of the Spider-Man franchise. On August 1st, a teaser for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" was released online , with a theatrical release in 2026.

The superhero role brought Holland not only fame but also immense audience sympathy. His high ratings confirm recent rumors that he was one of the candidates for the role of James Bond . While the 29-year-old star's choice may not seem obvious, it may prove to be a wise one.

The actor himself has taken a somewhat measured approach to these rumors. Tom Holland recently appeared on Gordon Ramsay's YouTube cooking show. While preparing spicy chicken, the two men engaged in a conversation, one of the topics of which revolved around rumors about his role as Agent 007.

"There's a lot of speculation going around right now. We'll keep it to a minimum for now. We'll revisit it someday," said Holland, who visibly brightened at the thought of playing Bond.

When asked by Ramsey if he could imagine such a commitment and himself as Daniel Craig's successor, he replied:

"For any British actor, this is the pinnacle of professional opportunity in our industry. Although I already consider myself the luckiest kid in the world. I couldn't have dreamed of such a career."

The list of potential Bond actors grows longer each month. So far, names on the list include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Rege-Jean Page, Jacob Elordi, and Harris Dickinson.
