Queen Elizabeth II's Range Rover sold for a tidy sum

The sight of Elizabeth II driving in a headscarf was not uncommon. The monarch loved getting behind the wheel and indulging in this simple pleasure. Recently, car enthusiasts had the opportunity to acquire a Range Rover that belonged to the Queen from 2006 to 2008 and featured a number of custom modifications. The car sold at auction for £175,500 (approximately PLN 868,000).
A 2006 Range Rover, model L322, that belonged to the monarchy, sold at Iconic Auctioneers for more than double its original estimate. According to ArtNet, the luxury vehicle fetched £175,500.
" Vehicles with such distinguished provenance rarely come to market, making this a unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike," Rob Hubbard, managing director of Iconic Auctioneers, said in a statement. "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's private Range Rover combines automotive excellence with unparalleled historical significance."

The car was handed over to the Queen for her exclusive use in April 2006. It served the monarch for two years and was frequently seen in it, including at horse shows in Windsor.
The car featured special side steps and grab handles for easy entry and exit, as well as a dog crate designed to accommodate her beloved dogs. Furthermore, the hood featured a unique silver mascot depicting a Labrador with a pheasant in its mouth . This symbol was displayed exclusively on the Queen's private vehicles, reflecting her love of animals and passion for hunting.
