"Millionaires" is changing the station! TVN will no longer host the iconic game show

For several weeks, there have been rumors that the game show "Millionaires", which has so far been in the TVN schedule, will continue on Polsat. On Thursday, Polsat confirmed that it has taken over the format. It also announced that casting for the first edition of the game show in the new version has started.

The format of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" originated in Great Britain, where its first episode was broadcast in 1998. In 1999, the game show came to Poland, where it was broadcast on TVN television with breaks. So far, eight people have won the main prize in the Polish edition of "Millionaires". Now, the new Polish home of this game show will be Polsat.

- Having "Millionaires" on its channel is a dream for every broadcaster. Polsat has always been able to perfectly read the expectations of viewers and respond to them. The audience results show that viewers want game shows, and "Millionaires" is a perfect game show. That is why we have entered the fight for this format, thanks to which Polsat's market position will become even stronger - said in a statement the program director of Telewizja Polsat, Edward Miszczak.
