Will she be the new James Bond girl? Jeff Bezos would say yes!

One of the biggest young actresses of the moment is Sydney Sweeney, star of the series "Euphoria." This stature has fans eyeing her for the role of a Bond girl in the next installment of Agent 007's adventures. On the occasion of the premiere of her latest film, the biopic "Christy," Sweeney discussed the situation regarding her potential role in the legendary spy franchise.

It's no secret that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is a key advocate for Sydney Sweeney joining a Bond film. His company recently took creative control of the spy franchise and will be in charge of its development. Sweeney's connection with Bezos goes beyond being a guest at his wedding to Lauren Sanchez. The three are also collaborating on a new Sweeney lingerie collection. So what about the possibility of the "Euphoria" star playing the role of a popular "Bondage"?

"Honestly, I don't know anything about these Bond rumors. I've always been a huge fan of the franchise, so I'm excited and curious to see where it goes next. Would I be interested in starring in such a film? It all depends on the script. I'd be happiest if I were offered the role of James Bond," Sweeney laughs in a lengthy Variety article.

Sydney Sweeney can currently be seen in David Michod's latest film , "Christy," in which she plays boxer and domestic violence victim Christy Martin.

The scale of Sweeney's success in recent years is evidenced by the fact that when Michod was compiling a list of actresses he was considering for the lead role in March 2024, the "Euphoria" star wasn't even on it.

He changed his mind when he saw Sweeney's role in the drama "Reality" and also learned that she had trained and performed as an MMA fighter in the past.

"I felt goosebumps. Only once before had I experienced something like that, where I found someone who was perfect for the role. I'd experienced that before with Timmy Chalamet in 'The King,'" he recalls.

Sweeney is currently finishing filming the third season of "Euphoria. " Paul Feig's thriller "The Help," in which she stars alongside Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, and Michele Morone, is almost finished. She will also star as Kim Novak in Colman Domingo's biopic "Scandalous."
