The Deputy Minister of National Defense announces military training. The first training will begin in November, and will be in full swing from January 1st.

- - This year we are talking about a pilot program, from January 1, training will start in full swing - said the deputy minister of national defense in Radio Zet's "Gość".
- He clarified that the Ministry of National Defense wants people to be able to choose one of several training courses that interest them.
- The training will be free of charge.
Cezary Tomczyk explained on Radio Zet that basic training will cover security and an overview of various skills used in the military.
- Anything that will be a one-day, two-day or three-day training will provide Polish citizens with skills to be able to cope with difficult situations - explained the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense.
He clarified that the training will be primarily aimed at adult citizens . Secondary school students will then be able to participate . In their case, the training will involve unarmed exercises "in the areas of security, information hygiene, and medicine."
Training in military units and hospitalsWhen asked by Bogdan Rymanowski about where the exercises would be conducted, the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defence explained that most of the training would take place on the premises of military units, but also on the premises of facilities belonging to the Ministry of National Defence, i.e. military hospitals or Territorial Defence Force units.
- In the coming months, the Ministry of National Defense will want to cooperate in this regard with the Ministry of Interior and Administration and include the State Fire Service or the Volunteer Fire Service in the field of first aid training - said Cezary Tomczyk.
By 2027, up to 100,000 people per year are expected to receive training, including within workplaces. In early October, Tomczyk explained on TVN24 that the training model was developed by the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces. He also emphasized that universal defense training is one of the priorities for the Ministry of National Defense.
We want the pilot to be launched this year, so that next year the training will start in full swing from January 1st, and by 2027 we will have a scale of, say, 100,000 people trained per year.
- he said.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence also recalled that, regardless of the planned program, there is currently voluntary compulsory military service, which trains 20,000-40,000 people annually, as well as programs such as "Holidays with the Army", "Train with the Army", the Academic Legion and other forms of preparatory classes.
In turn, the planned general training courses are to constitute a new form - enabling anyone willing to participate in individual courses, carried out independently or in groups, e.g. within the workplace.
Even 1 million reservists trained - this would be an ideal modelTomczyk explained that any company in Poland – e.g. TVN, Poczta Polska, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa or even the Ministry of National Defence itself – will be able to register a group of employees for joint training.
- At the same time, every Polish man and woman will soon be able to sign up for individual training - he said, adding that interested people will receive information about available dates and will be able to choose the military unit where they will undergo training.
In the ideal model, I would like to have about a million people ready to take responsibility or be in the reserve of the Polish Army, because this is the foundation
- he added.
He also pointed out that the scale of the training program, which – in his opinion – will have a significant social impact, will depend on the willingness of citizens.
