The Dąbskie Film Evenings are starting

Cinema. Friendship. Beach. This is the theme of the 19th edition of Dąbie Film Evenings. "We invite you to five days of screenings, meetings with filmmakers, and a special dance evening with film music. We will once again feel the sand beneath our feet in an open-air cinema – we are returning to our unique beach in Dąbie," the organizers encourage.

This cultural event has been bringing together residents of the right-bank part of our city for 18 years. Many previous editions took place on the beach at Lake Dąbie, adding charm and a unique atmosphere to the shows, as well as highlighting their openness to the local community and all residents of Szczecin. This year, viewers will also spend two evenings on the beach, featuring several comedies to enjoy the summer atmosphere and a pleasant time by the water.

- It is no coincidence that the word "friendship" appears in the event's motto - this year we are starting on the International Day of Friendship, and the films will cover issues of interpersonal relationships - announces Magdalena Gardas-Wasilewska, head of the promotion and event organization department at the Delta Club - a branch of the Municipal Cultural Center in Szczecin.

The 19th edition of Dąbie Film Evenings will open with two screenings at the Delta Club - on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31 - "In Them All Hope" and "Horror Story." The screenings will be followed by discussions: on Wednesday with film critic and book author Kasia Czajka-Kominiarczuk (known online as Zwierz popkulturalny), and on Thursday with the film's director and author Adrian Apanel.

Beach screenings are scheduled for August 1 and 2: on Friday you can see the films "Fanatyk" and "Wujek foliarz" (Uncle Foil Maker), and on Saturday - "Seasons", preceded by a dance party with film music.

At the DWF finale at the Delta Club on August 3, the film "Sparrow" will be shown, followed by a conversation with its creator, director Tomasz Gąssowski.

All events during Dąbskie Film Evenings are free of charge.
