RoboGo, the robot that performs maintenance in ports

It will enter into operation for the first time aimed at Trieste, as part of the redevelopment project of Pier VII of the port, RoboGo, a large underwater robot, presented today, which, controlled remotely, allows you to carry out delicate maintenance operations on the structures port workers. A project that "was born in Trieste but also looks to the other ports" was said during the illustration of the new technology "and which talks about innovation, sustainability, growth". RoboGo also uses an intelligence system artificial self-learning, thanks to which it is able to map surfaces, detect anomalies and manage them in autonomy the necessary interventions. The robot is made by Impresa Taverna, a company of the Icop group with an investment of over 20 million euros, a commitment which, Vittorio specified Petrucco, president of Icop, "opens the way to a new generation of technologies at the service of Italian ports and international". Already moored in the port of Trieste, RoboGo is equipped with intelligent hydraulic arms, high-resolution cameras and advanced sensors. Operations are supervised in real time from a control point. The system allows you to reduce working times in the terminals but also costs and environmental impacts of maintenance.
