Once China, now its neighbor. This country has become the largest supplier of phones to the United States.

Tensions in trade relations between the United States and China have led to major corporations moving their production to factories located in India.
According to a report by analyst firm Canalys, smartphone shipments from India to the US increased by 340% in the second quarter of the year, and the country's share in the total number of handsets sold increased from 13% a year ago to 44%.
During this time, the share of Chinese suppliers fell from 61% in Q2 2024 to 25%, while Vietnam saw an increase from 24% to 30%.
Total sales of cameras in the United States in the second quarter amounted to 27.1 million, a year-on-year increase of only 1 percent. However, there was a fundamental change in customer preferences.
India's lead is largely driven by American tech giant Apple. The Cupertino giant maintained its leading position, selling 13.3 million smartphones, but this represents a 13.3% decline. South Korea's Samsung found buyers for 8.3 million handsets, a 30% increase compared to a year ago.
Brands such as Motorola also performed very well, with sales of 3.2 million units, a 2 percent increase; Google with 800,000 units, a 13 percent increase; and TCL with 700,000 units, a 23 percent increase.
Experts emphasize that this is another warning for Apple Inc. It urgently needs to seek new revenue streams, as declining sales of its flagship smartphones indicate that customers are starting to shift away from the brand.
