With the exhibition "Perseverance" Mamà Dots closes the world tour of the Vespucci ship

On the occasion of the Navy Day and the conclusion of the 2023–2025 World Tour of the Amerigo Vespucci ship, the personal exhibition “Perseverance – Artistic Evolution in the Age of AI” by the MaMà Dots collective is taking place from 10 to 14 June as part of the Villaggio IN Italia at the Porto Antico in Genoa. On 11 June, three works – Perseverance, Santa Barbara Dots Portrait and Guglielmo Marconi Dots Portrait – were transferred aboard the Vespucci, moored at the Magazzini del Cotone, to be exhibited during the official presentation of the catalogue “Guglielmo Marconi. Prove di Trasmissione”, promoted by Rai Cultura in collaboration with the Marconi 150 Committee.

In this context of high symbolic value, Perseverance and Santa Barbara Dots Portrait have been officially acquired in the artistic heritage of the Italian Navy, consolidating a historic moment of encounter between contemporary art and institutional values. Perseverance, which depicts the Vespucci with sails in the wind, is a tribute to the most iconic ship of the Navy: a symbol of training, beauty, tradition and Italian diplomacy in the world. Santa Barbara Dots Portrait, inspired by the work of Sassoferrato, gives a new light to the patron saint of the Navy, through the distinctive trait of MaMà Dots.

The collective proposes a unique style, Pop Pointillism: an entirely manual painting technique, point after point, that recalls digital aesthetics without the use of algorithms. An art that combines tradition and innovation, and that – in the context of Artificial Intelligence – reaffirms the authentic value of the human gesture. MaMà Dots, a family-run artistic reality, has exhibited in prestigious venues such as Piazza di Spagna, Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, Palazzo Bastogi in Florence, Melissa Morgan Fine Art in California and the Chamber of Deputies. Among the most recent projects: the cover of the Confitarma 2024 Annual Report, presented on board Costa Smeralda, and the Marconi Prize for Creativity 2025, established with the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation.
