Visual Lucania, Palmarosa Fuccella's book is presented at the La Contea Study Center in Naples

Visual Lucania, Palmarosa Fuccella's book is presented at the La Contea Study Center in Naples

The presentation of the volume “Lucania visiva. Scritti tra storia, arte e comunicazione” by Palmarosa Fuccella, published by Calice Editori, will take place tomorrow, Thursday 3 July, at 6:30 pm, at the Centro Studi La Contea in via Toledo 418 in Naples. The book offers an engaging journey through the cultural roots of Lucania, combining memory, art, narration and research in a work full of suggestions. The meeting will open with greetings from Luciano Schifone, president of the Centro Studi La Contea Antonio Martino, president of the Rocco Scotellaro Association of Portici, Vincenzo Ciruzzi, dean of the Giustino Fortunato Association, Biagio Ancarola, Ph.D. of the Giustino Fortunato Association. This will be followed by speeches by Franco Vitelli of the University of Bari, Isabella Valente of the University of Naples Federico II, the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Avigliano, Angela M. Salvatore, and the lawyer Domenico Ciruzzi, former president of the Naples Prize.

During the event, the author Palmarosa Fuccella will be present, who will tell the audience about the genesis of her work, born - as she herself writes - from a creative impulse that finds satisfaction in the joy of research and in loyalty to the lands of origin. The text presents itself as a precious opportunity to understand, through images and words, the complexity of the Lucanian identity, from Leonardo Sinisgalli to Mimmo Castellano, from Rocco Scotellaro to Maria Padula and Francesco Ranaldi.

Admission is free. For information: Centro Studi La Contea, tel. 081 5511097.
