The Positano Teatro Festival returns, paying tribute to Luca De Filippo. Mariangela D'Abbraccio wins the Annibale Ruccello Award.

The 22nd edition of the Positano Teatro Festival Premio Annibale Ruccello , directed by Antonella Morea and conceived by Gerardo D'Andrea, scheduled for July 26 to 28, will open with a tribute to actor and director Luca De Filippo , ten years after his untimely death. The first evening of the 2025 edition, whose chosen theme is The Sound of Memory, will feature a performance in verse and words by Eduardo De Filippo , entitled " Si te parlo me parlo... " (If I speak to you, I speak..."), a concert-recital consisting of alternating writings, letters, poems, and sung poems set to music by Maestro Antonio Sinagra, which was commissioned by Eduardo himself. The performance features the virtuosity of actress and singer Lalla Esposito, accompanied by artist Lello Giulivo and singer Michele Simonelli, and musically accompanied by Ciro Cascino on piano and Alessandro Tumolillo on violin. At the end of the show, the Annibale Ruccello Award will be presented to actress Mariangela D'Abbraccio , who starred alongside Luca De Filippo in Napoli Milionaria, directed by Francesco Rosi, and directed by Liliana Cavani, an excellent Filumena Marturano. The festival will also pay tribute to two other great protagonists: Fred Buscaglione, one of the first great crooners of Italian music, an artist who became a benchmark for song theatre, to whom the authors Peppe Miale Di Mauro and Mario Gelardi have dedicated the show "L'ultima corsa di Fred," directed by Peppe Miale and starring Massimo De Matteo (on July 27th); and Roberto De Simone, an absolute genius of music, theatre, and culture, who, just a few months after his passing, will be performing the show "Maestro" Cantiamo il Naniana (on July 28th).
