Friendships among the waves. The Riviera rewards the faithful.

Friendly, welcoming, grateful: this is summer life on our Riviera. This is how the Hotel Des Bains in Cattolica honored the Queen's loyal tourists, who have chosen the same place for their holidays for decades. Kristian and Waltraud Klotz, originally from Sluderno in Trentino, have been coming here for 40 years; the Purmann family, Karl Heinz and Renate, have a combined 53 years, with the number growing every year. Rudolf Hintermayr and Ingelore Martha Edith, originally from Badoderdorf, have also enjoyed 53 summers. The latest honoree, Alberto Banfi, is from Solferino and has a combined 37 seasons. But summer on the Riviera is above all about friendship: in Cesenatico since childhood, reunited as teenagers with friends from Bologna, Florence, France, and Switzerland: Joel, Milena, Ines, Elena, Emma, Alessio, and Andrea. And then the show: Ale and Dona with Giacobazzi at Marina Romea where the comedian always rests, kind and helpful.
