Culture: Oliveto Citra hosts Seledoro Talks: six days of meetings between memory and innovation.

Women's thought, the long history of the Rummo pasta makers of Benevento, the memory of journalist Giancarlo Siani, 40 years after his assassination, the sentimental education of new adolescents, the potential of inland areas and small villages, and artificial intelligence: these are some of the themes at the heart of the Seledoro Talks series, starting Sunday, September 7, at the Largo della Memoria auditorium in Oliveto Citra.
The event begins tomorrow at 6:30 pm with "Spaces of Transition. Feminine Thought as a Crossing of Borders." Participants include: Massimo Bray , Director General of the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia founded by Giovanni Treccani; Virgilio D'Antonio , Rector of the University of Salerno; Emma Giammattei, Professor at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University; Elena Laurenzi, Professor at the University of Salento; Vincenzo Salerno, Professor at the University of Salerno; and Maria Rosaria Califano, Director of the Library Center at the University of Salerno.
Two events on Monday, September 8th. At 6:30 pm, the meeting "Reading Maps. Economic Scenarios 2025, a Year That Transformed the World." Nicola Saldutti of Il Corriere della Sera interviews Cosimo Rummo , president and CEO of Rummo SpA. Then, at 7:30 pm, "Giancarlo Siani. Journalist Killed by the Camorra." Forty years after his death, Paolo Siani , Giancarlo's brother and advisor to the Giancarlo Siani ETS Foundation, and Pietro Perone, journalist and editor-in-chief of Il Mattino, author of the book Terra Nemica, will discuss his death. Alfonso Ruffo, editor-in-chief of Il denaro, will moderate the discussion.
On Tuesday, September 9th, again at 6:30 pm in the Largo della Memoria auditorium, we will discuss "Social Contexts: Love That Hurts, the Sentimental Education of New Adolescents" with educational psychologist Stefano Rossi.
On Wednesday, September 10th, at the same time, the focus of the debate will be "Inner Areas: Why Focus on Villages." Participants include: Giancarlo Dall'Ara, marketing and hospitality expert in villages; Felice Casucci , Councilor for Tourism of the Campania Region; Nicola Caputo , Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region; Francesco Saverio Coppola, Secretary General of the Guido Dorso International Association; and Giacomo Rosa, President of SVIMAR.
On Thursday, September 11, the discussion will focus on "Artificial Intelligence: How it is changing us, how it will change us. Opportunities, risks, and skills." Participants will include: Raffaele Crispino, CEO of Project & Planning, AISM Councilor; Massimo Giordani, AISM President; Caterina Garofalo, AINEM President; Francesco Gallucci, AINEM Vice President; Enrico Viceconte, Head of the Stoà Master's Program; Elio Masciari, Associate Professor, University of Naples, DIETI; and Paola Giacalone, International Researcher, Suor Orsola Benincasa University – ReCEPL Research Center.
Friday the 12th begins at 6:30 pm with "Reading Maps. Imagining the Time Ahead". Alfonso Ruffo interviews Antonio Polito , writer and deputy director of Il Corriere della Sera. Then, at 7:45 pm, it's the turn of SudShortFilms, the Southern Short Film Contest, in collaboration with the Giffoni Film Festival and with the participation of Claudio Gubitosi, creator, founder and director of the Giffoni Film Festival, directors Alice Franchi and Alessia Napoletano, and journalist Patrizia Angelini, correspondent for Tg1.
