Ferrara, 2 July 2025 – A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Carlo Rambaldi , the brilliant artist and creator of iconic and unforgettable special effects, as well as father of ET and King Kong , born in the province of Ferrara and who then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
“This prestigious award celebrates not only his extraordinary contribution to cinema, but also his innovative vision that revolutionized the visual effects sector,” writes Lucia Borgonzoni , Undersecretary of Culture, in a note.

The Ministry of Culture and Cinecittà have been working for some time to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of his birth in 2025. Shortly before, in fact, the announcement of the prestigious recognition also awarded to Franco Nero , famous Italian actor , who "conquered the world, becoming known for his roles in iconic films such as 'Django' and 'The Day of the Owl'. Only a year ago I spoke about it with Tiziana Rocca, director of Filming Italy Los Angeles, sharing the importance that this actor has had in the history of cinema and some genres such as spaghetti westerns, I thank her for the work done", concludes Borgonzoni.
