AC/DC fans warm up their engines, a wild Sunday at the racetrack: the lineup

Imola, July 20, 2025 – A wild Sunday . This is what, as the poet put it, the city is ready to experience today. After the 85,000 spectators at Max Pezzali's concert last Saturday, 70,000 AC/DC fans are descending on the racetrack.
Over 150,000 spectators in just over a week, enough to musically recover from the setback of the circuit's exit from the 2026 Formula 1 calendar . The invasion began yesterday. Or better yet, Friday night.

The Australian band's first loyal fans camped out on Via Romeo Galli for the first of two nights under the stars, waiting for the show. They came mostly from Northern Italy, but also from Sardinia. "We want to be in the front row," they warned.
Some of them were already there in 2015, when AC/DC, in front of 92,000 spectators, brought great rock music back to the paddock, a place it hadn't been since the Heineken Jammin' Festival. Among the tents, sleeping bags, and beach towels , the inevitable bright red horns, ready to light up in the dark, peek out. While, nearby, technicians and workers are hard at work setting up the concert area, the official campsites are also opening their doors. The one on Via Tiro a Segno and, like ten years ago, the one at the Parco delle Acque Minerali. There's a festive atmosphere in the city's green lung, which demands respect from its visitors. Music and fun are also available in the historic center, with the fan village open in Piazza Matteotti.

AC/DC have arrived in Bologna. And, as in 2015, they're staying at a well-known hotel in the historic center. From there, they'll depart, likely in the late afternoon, for the Enzo e Dino Ferrari. Spectators are advised to arrive well in advance. In addition to the venue in Piazza Matteotti (open from 10 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.), there are two similar venues on Viale Dante (green light from 10 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.) and Rivazza (from 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.).
In recent days, the municipality and organizers have renewed their call to reach Imola by train, with a dozen special trains set up for the return journey. For those arriving by car, the parking lots (over 40 in total) will be accessible from 7:00 a.m. The gates at the Viale Dante entrance (with Pit A, B, C, D, and Prato Rivazza tickets) will open as early as 1:00 p.m.

Those at the Via dei Colli entrance, reserved for those with tickets for the Rivazza grandstand, will be at 4:30 PM. The Pretty Reckless will perform at 7 PM; AC/DC will take the stage at 8:30 PM. The setlist should closely mirror that of the Australian band's latest releases , currently busy with the European leg of their world tour. Kicking off with "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)," they'll then follow with classics like "Back in Black," "Thunderstruck," "Hell's Bells," "Highway to Hell," "Rock 'n' Roll Train," and "You Shook Me All Night Long." The grand finale will be "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)." A two-hour show packed with fireworks.
