Music and crafts come together in this new festival in Dordogne

The event will combine crafts, participatory works, demonstrations, and music. "The goal is to offer something intergenerational," explains Théo Breinlen, one of the organizers. To this end, the village of skills will open its doors at 10 a.m. It will host a carpenter, a stonemason, a leatherworker, and a blacksmith, as well as booths for tattooing, macramé, body painting, and telescope observation.
The first concerts are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. For the programming, the organizers wanted to adapt the musical styles to the schedule. "At dinnertime, we chose local artists and an acoustic atmosphere, with Club Sandwich and La'au Project. And from 10 p.m., we want to attract a younger audience with electro, techno, and dub."
Several Belgian artists will be performing on stage: Bise Bleue, Holistic Method, Baraki de Conscience, and Toub & Rakagnak. "Three organizers are from Belgium; they leveraged their networks," explains the co-organizer. Several volunteers also come from the flat country. They are among the 25 festival volunteers. Even the name "Patatrac" is a reference to the famous Belgian fries, which will be on sale at the event.
A vegetable stand will also be run by Pauline, a resident of Bourrou, while the "potatoes" will offer two homemade menus each day. A campsite for festival-goers and volunteers will also be set up.
