Air Transat announces 14 new routes this winter

Air Transat announced Thursday that it will offer 14 new routes, including seven from Quebec, this winter.

Among the new features, the airline announced non-stop flights from Toronto and Montreal to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This new destination will be served by Airbus A330 twice weekly from Toronto and once weekly from Montreal.
From Montreal, new direct connections to Guadalajara, Valencia, Bordeaux, and Madrid will enhance the transatlantic offering. From Quebec, travelers will also be able to reach Fort-de-France in Martinique or Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe.

On the Toronto side, flights to Georgetown (Guyana), Medellín and Istanbul have also been added.
"By targeting markets we have never served before, we are building on a clear strategy of diversification into markets where Canadians want to go, supported by increased connectivity through our growing pool of partners," said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat, in a press release.
