New possibilities for observing Earth from space. Polish-Finnish company isn't stopping.

The Polish-Finnish company ICEYE specializes in the design and production of Earth observation systems based on satellites equipped with a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) used to obtain high-resolution images of stationary objects.
Scan Wide mode, utilizing phased array antenna technology, extends the imaging capabilities of ICEYE. It is particularly useful for maritime surveillance . It can help analysts identify suspicious activities, such as illegal ship-to-ship transfers of cargo on the high seas, or detect vessels that have disabled their AIS to conceal their activity.
After initial threat detection in Scan Wide mode, users can use more precise imaging modes such as Dwell Precise and Spot Fine (with 25 cm and 50 cm resolution) to accurately assess the situation. In addition to defense applications, the long range of Scan Wide mode is ideal for oil spill detection and monitoring . The new mode is supported by all satellites in the ever-expanding ICEYE constellation.
As stated in the press release, ICEYE is the only company in the NewSpace sector to offer a comprehensive range of operating modes: from Dwell and Spot with a resolution of 25 cm (coverage area 5×5 km), to Scan Wide with a resolution of 27 m (area 200×300 km), with many intermediate combinations of resolution and imaging area size.
" By introducing Scan Wide mode to our offering, we're giving customers the ability to take a wide view of a large area and then precisely image selected objects. It's all part of one seamless process for the user," said John Cartwright, Senior Vice President of Data Products at ICEYE.
ICEYE owns and operates the world's largest SAR satellite constellation , offering unlimited access to data from anywhere on Earth and the shortest revisit time on the market.
