In front of Basis, a kebab shop located on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, a few hungry people are queuing up. "Do you accept bags of chips?" some ask. Hamouda, the kebab shop owner, grabs the bag, opens it, and pours its contents into a small white bag. "Cheddar?" he asks, before starting to prepare. A large spoonful of orange cheese sauce, onions, coriander, tomatoes, red cabbage, cucumber, and meat. All topped with a generous dose of sauce, for 10.90 euros. But above all, a lot of views.

Around the counter, everyone's talking about it. "Your video got 150,000 views!" Hamouda says to the owner, Maxime Gaffory, who imported the concept. Swiping on TikTok, he drew inspiration from "internet users who do this in the United States and Mexico" to implement this trend in his two Parisian fast-food restaurants. He made videos of kebabs with nachos, Doritos, and chips that quickly went viral, with 9 million cumulative views on his fast-food account.

At first, "I thought it was going to be a blast with my friends," he assures us. But after a week of marketing and more than 350 sales, "the concept represents 10% of my turnover." "Since it's simple in terms of implementation and we like to offer new products to our consumers, we're going to sell it for a month," rejoices the one who runs his business
