With the Phonambule association, music and singing for a better life in Brignoles

Guitars resonate and hands clap at the La Source nursing home in Brignoles. In the reception area, a duo of musicians from the Phonambule troupe performs for elderly residents, joined for the occasion by children. A musical moment filled with joyful and soothing nursery rhymes, designed to build bonds between generations.
Founded in 1998, the Phonambule association delivers songs, nursery rhymes and various artistic performances with one goal: to promote well-being where it is most precarious.
Olivier Moreau, a member of the association for 25 years and a regular in pediatric and maternity care, explains: "We perform as a duo in different establishments once or twice a week. For the troupe, this represents 350 events per year." Phonambule has fourteen members, professional musicians and volunteers, and estimates reaching 15,000 people per year, both patients and families.
As the Fête de la Musique approaches, June is a prime time for musicians, and the Brignoles Music Association is no exception. The goal: to make music accessible to all.
Interventions at the crossroads of arts and careAmong the highlights Olivier Moreau is a performance scheduled for June 25th at the Sainte-Musse hospital in Toulon. On that day, the usual instrumental duo will be joined by a dancer and a painter for a multidisciplinary artistic performance. "Each performance is unique, because we adapt our approach to the audience and their circumstances," emphasizes this blues and rock enthusiast.
Their interventions, at the intersection of art and care, aim as much to recreate social connections as to offer genuine well-being to patients. By breaking isolation, they awaken the senses, revive emotions, and reactivate vital forces too often put to sleep by illness or loneliness.
The association operates largely thanks to the commitment of its members but also to the support of local partners and charitable support.
