Saint-Tropez: after a career as a kickboxer, physiotherapist and coach, Laurent Petit turns to writing

physical or mental is surmountable, but you still have to apply the right method." This is what Laurent Petit wants us to remember from his very first book, " Gagne de la vie !". Coach, physiotherapist and former kick-boxer, the Tropezian, who is also an elected official, has been working in homes and businesses for years. This year, he wanted to go further and reach as many people as possible. "Too many working people are stressed and tired," he observes. "This book is a user guide for gaining strength, serenity and motivation."
In this guide, the athlete gives all the advice he considers essential for people wishing to "promote their well-being, feel better at work and secure their future."
For physical and mental well-beingIn a hundred pages, he gives advice that may seem trivial, but that everyone should apply according to him, "from the youngest to the elderly" : hydrate regularly to anticipate the "mineral debt" , regulate your sleep and take a nap every day to "turn off the engine" , warm up every morning in order to "free the neck, open the ribs and prepare the spine"...
When it comes to mental health, Laurent Petit positions himself kindly but firmly as a true life coach. "Deprogram your viruses" by working on your flaws, taking a step back from difficult situations, and striving to take time for yourself...
This book is a real reminder of all the behaviors to adopt to take charge of yourself effectively.
"Inform and educate the population"Before writing, Laurent Petit conducted surveys among his students, the companies he worked with and through man-in-the-street interviews.
After six months of research, he concluded that "the current population, whether active or not, really needs to be looked after." With his wealth of experience in physiotherapy coaching and kickboxing, the sixty-year-old felt he had the necessary background to bring his basic knowledge of physical and mental health to the table: "With my health-oriented approach as a physiotherapist, my experience in the field and my mental strength as a former boxer, I felt ready to pass on a real method to the entire population."
"Earn a Living!" is the first in a series of five books aimed at "informing and educating people about the attitude they need to adopt to thrive," the author says.
The self-published book will initially be available in bookstores at Scarlett in Saint-Tropez, before going on sale "at the start of the school year," he promises.
Next step: reaching out to young people in schools. "When I see the physical and mental fatigue of today's working population, I wonder why there's no prevention on this subject in schools," he laments. "I'm going to try to penetrate the world of national education and launch a guide."
