Saint-Rémy. Theater and solidarity: schoolchildren mobilized for blood donation

At the school fair, 28 students in Year 5 and Year 6 from Saint-Rémy distinguished themselves by taking to the stage to perform a play about blood donation. The students recreated the different stages of blood donation, from the welcome to the snack. It was a fun way to raise awareness of a simple but vital act. "It's important to give blood, you have to do it," they emphasized on signs.
This initiative was fueled by several classroom presentations by the Montbard and Region Volunteer Blood Donation Association. "They prepared this play to raise parents' awareness of the importance of blood donation," emphasizes teacher Julie Manzoni.
César Roman, president of the association, did not hide his pride: "What the children did is fantastic. This event is a fine example of intergenerational solidarity."
