From Montigny-lès-Metz to Auboué. Three kittens thrown into the trash alive were saved from certain death.

"I have no words to describe this act of cowardice." This Saturday, September 20, Henri Benzeram and the Association for the Protection of the Environment and Equines (APEE) of Auboué , which he chairs, recovered three kittens "in an unusually thin state." The three little felines, approximately 2 months old, had just been discovered at the bottom of a dumpster by a municipal agent in Montigny-lès-Metz. A deep trash can from which they could not escape on their own.

"They are poor, innocent creatures who didn't ask for anything. They must have been there for a day or two," says Henri Benzeram, considering their state of health upon arrival at the animal shelter. "They were infested with fleas and full of worms, hence their thinness. They were destined to die. If only from the worms that were eating away at their entire digestive system." These parasites could reach a size of nearly 15 cm.
Quarantined, the kittens are now safe. Once they're fully recovered, "all we have to do is find them a good home."
