However, only 17.7% of respondents did not have a primary care physician , which remains enormous in a country which introduced the care pathway in 2007, with the obligation to go through a primary care physician to be reimbursed 100% of costs.

Private practice tops the list of challenges cited by those consulted in our regions. Hospitals are rarely criticized, and primarily due to the waiting time for emergency care. Rarely is it criticized for the quality of care.

To make sense of these figures and understand how the health system has come to be perceived as distant, even unattainable by our fellow citizens, we interviewed doctors, both private and hospital , who are experiencing the same difficulties, but from their point of view.
