“Sport helps young people feel better”: in Mérignac, the adapted para rugby day “Everyone has their own try” brought together more than 80 participants

This inclusive sporting event brought together a dozen organizations, or more than 80 participants with mental or psychological disabilities, or those with autism spectrum disorders, around matches, workshops and socializing.
"We're used to participating, and today we have around ten young people aged 10 to 14 present," explains a manager from the Breillan de Blanquefort Therapeutic Educational and Pedagogical Institute (ITEP). "We've been holding around ten workshops a year with Drop de béton for several years. For us, sport, and especially rugby, helps young people feel better and helps them focus their energy. And on tournament day, they all support each other."
