Isabelle Carré and Bernard Campan deliver an unforgettable performance in "Se souvenir des belles choses," airing this Saturday evening on T18. Hugo Films/France 3 Cinéma

"Remembering Beautiful Things" at 9:05 p.m. on T18. Isabelle Carré deserved her César. In 2003, she was named Best Actress for her performance in "Remembering Beautiful Things" by Zabou Breitman , at only 32 years old. It must be said that she put all her sensitivity into the role of Claire Poussin, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at such a young age. She uses one word for another, struggles to find her way around, forgets the simplest everyday gestures, remembers names that are nevertheless innocuous, and erases the essential.

For his part, Philippe, played by Bernard Campan, has retained nothing of his life before the accident in which his wife and little boy died. Alzheimer's and trauma do nothing to hinder their feelings: they fall in love. As he regains his memories, she loses hers, condemned to death, but first to madness.
