Toul. Flamboyant Toul 2025: What drives their passion for the Middle Ages?

They are sculptors, costumed visitors, members of a historical reenactment association, and street vendors, all of whom share a common passion for the Middle Ages. Meet these men and women who are taking part in the "Toul Flamboyante" medieval festival, taking place around Toul Cathedral until Sunday evening.
A historical flashback this weekend in Toul. The town hall gardens, as well as the cathedral and its surroundings, are transported back to the Middle Ages for the "Toul flamboyante" event , which will be packed up this Sunday at 6 p.m.
Before that, there will be demonstrations of birds of prey flying, street plays, knight fights, etc., amidst merchant stalls, artisan stands, wooden rides and historical reenactment camps.
Behind these events and attractions are men and women who share a passion for this era. But where does this passion come from?
