The old shops of Annot at the heart of the Regain Museum's summer exhibition

For eight years, the Annot Municipal Heritage Association has been in charge of the exhibitions held each summer at the Regain Municipal Museum. The year 2024 saw over 6,000 entries.
From the very beginning of the adventure, Jean-Louis Damon, founding president of the association, and his team of volunteers wanted to present a different theme each year, but always with the aim of highlighting the heritage and the transmission of knowledge in the valleys. A success in terms of attendance: over the years, a bond has been established with the locals who become loyal visitors.
A new room dedicated solely to the prehistoric archaeology of the region was opened two years ago.
This summer, the association is presenting an exhibition on the theme of Annot's old shops and stalls, dating from 1870 to 1940. These sometimes forgotten trades serve as a reminder of the geographical and historical context in which the inhabitants of these remote valleys once lived. It features displays of objects, reconstructions, and photo slideshows. A true journey through time.
